Unstable Understanding

“Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: Give me understanding according to thy word.” Psalm 119:169 KJV

The use of human senses has been the enemies’ weapon of manipulation from the beginning; and the Devil doesn’t have another tricks. Therefore, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5)” remains the most reliable admonition for stable Christians in this unstable world. Yes, unstable understanding makes believers to trust the words of kingmakers, powerful politicians, financial moguls, and social influentials above divine revelations. After all, people would want to see the resemblance of classic wardrobes in the appearance of someone who promises the needy a new set of dresses. Unfortunately, there is no stability and steadfastness in what the human eyes can see, and what the human mind can conceive. Faith in the unseen God and trust in His revealed promises doesn’t change with changes in the season of time and the instability in economy. When believers pray to God by faith in His words, they have the attention of heaven for a release of its unlimited resources; we just need grace to focus on the understanding of God’s words on our prevailing situation and circumstances.
