Rhema Right

“ Receive my instruction, and not silver; And knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; And all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.” Proverbs 8 : 10 - 11 KJV While meditating on the scriptural admonition “ Receive my instruction ”, it becomes strange for the heart to ignore the danger of negative influences to godly instructions in life. Even the meekest man on earth, Moses, paid dearly for this error when he allowed the stiff-necked disposition of Israelites pushed him to the edge of disobedience and unbelief. “.. Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?” wouldn’t have reverberated from the meek heart of Moses, if “ Receive my instruction ” had been guided. Obviously, life is filled with several kinds of ‘rubies right’ instructions; and those who must be rich in recognition by men, political relevance, social influences, etc, must fall into the traps. Whereas, God always guides the truly and consisten...

Desirable Deals

“ Receive my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold; For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her .” Proverbs 8 : 10 - 11 NKJV Life is made of human deals, including marriage, career, business, friendship, and relationships. Unfortunately, while almost all of the metrics (e.g., net worth, social media likes, political profiles, administrative power and privileges, etc) for desirable deals in life are fake, we are readily wired to make life’s decisions, commitments, and contributions on the basis of these empirical metrics. Little wonder why marriage covenants are usually treated like contracts that can readily hit the rocks when the metrics become unfavourable or wear the tag ‘irreconcilable differences ’. People get together in assemblies, work, public, and social relationships for the wrong reasons and in pursuits or actualization of desirable deals. Whereas, God calls us all into our every relatio...

Winsome Words

“ All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or perverse is in them .” Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The major argument of those who believe in the relativity of truth is the reality of diversity in our world, culture, language, and philosophy. And to some appreciable extent, this argument aligns with some facts about how we live, learn, and lean on one another at home, workplaces, and in society. Notwithstanding, none of these relativity of truth can pass the wholesomeness of righteousness, either in public and in private. That’s why only Jesus Christ, being the truth personified, said “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me ” (‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6). Only a full salvation through His grace can say “ All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or perverse is in them .” Therefore, while we are required to relate and respect the diversity of beliefs, orientation, and sophistication in our world, belie...
