Since getting good is always synonymous to visiting fast food restaurants, gifts are replaced with good in the large sense of reasoning. Unfortunately, when man seeks princes, politicians, and principals for gifts, the actual good from the King of kings and Lord of lords is either forfeited or pawned. Gifts corrupt the hearts of men from standing straight on righteousness, uprightness, and friendliness. Their ‘no permanent enemies, but permanent interests’ mantra is always a best-selling motivation for the pursuit of excellence in life. Unfortunately, most believers would readily hang on to unproductive baggage of differences and ideologies under the disguise of orderliness as though a laurel is in focus. Unknowingly, genuine ‘good’ only comes from God, while fake ‘good’ comes from the Devil. Even when there abounds so much flashy display of material wealth, and carnal privileges from foolish fellowship, the dividend of this carnal pursuit of ‘good’ starts with dissatisfaction and ends with death. It is important to note that the real ‘good’ that satisfies the soul only comes from God; and it is reserved for those who fear Him and keep the understanding of His words and will.
