Messy Mire

http://bible.us/psa69.1-2.nkjv Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, Where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me. Personal smartness in all endeavours makes room for pride, until one is found in the mire with little room for maneuvering. Whenever found in either emotional or financial mire, an unyielding exercise of personal smartness leads into either deep sinking or sudden death. ‎Unlike the Psalmist, many in the battle for life are often deceived from doubting the only path to salvation: an outcry of " Save me, O God! ". The enemy's mire could be mercilessly messy, but God's mercy is always mercifully mighty to deliver. When the waters are far away from the neck, safe rescue through the attention of other well-wishers can be helpful. However, only the mighty mercy of God can sincerely save from the messy mire of life. ‎
