By Paul and Silas’ prayer and singing praises to God, the foundation of the prison was subjected to a great earthquake, the prison doors were opened, the prisoners’ chains and shackles were loosed, the entire household of the jailor were saved from sin, and the magistrates that persecuted and imprisoned them were broken and reduced to beggars.
