Lively Lighthouse

“ For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart .” Psalms 36 : 9 - 10 NKJV When Joshua and Caleb defended their faith in the lighthouse with “ If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey’  (Numbers 14 : 8 )”, it was evident that they could see differently from their other 10 colleagues. Without faith in the lively lighthouse, human reasoning on all the issues of life will be strictly governed by empirical evidences, political sagacity, administrative prowess and financial muscles. Unfortunately, fear and intimidation are often greatly exaggerated by this human focus on his artificial lighthouse. For example, the other spies said “ The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great statu...

Safe Shield

” How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures .“ Psalms‬ ‭36‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ One of the reasons why God allows His children to see the wickedness of men is the preciousness of His grace to make the wickedness disappear by His lovingkindness. Those who have learned how to trust in God have never failed to enjoy His safe shield. Obviously, the evidence of a safe shield from the Almighty God is a testimony to support believers’ gospel of salvation and deliverance from satanic oppressions. So whenever any believer is tempted to lodge complaints over the shrewdness of satanic agents, he should get fixated on those waiting for the testimony of God’s safe shield. In the actual facts, believers give unnecessary credence to the enemies’ shrewd actions and wickedness at the expense of the preci...

Life’s Light

“ For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light .” Psalms‬ ‭36‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Light shines brightest in the dark for sure; but it is extremely difficult to sustain its fuelling in a prolonged darkness. Considering the evil and wickedness that men do as darkness, and the good and godliness as the light, no one is capable of sustaining life’s light without the grace of God. Therefore, the psalmist confessed that ‘For with You (God) is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light ’. Besides the presence of the fullness of God’s grace, it is easy for afflicted souls to be embittered by the wickedness of men. And while that happens, even when these souls continue to claim uprightness, they are blinded by the clouds of bitterness against their oppressors. Whereas, everyone who ensure consistent shower of God’s grace in all his daily engagements sees just the brightness of light, even in the blackness of darkness. Therefore, if anyone wants to retain life’s light on...

Holy Discontentment

http://bible.us/psa36.11.nkjv Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. The unregenerated are outrightly severed from fellowship with God because of their entanglement with sin. However, fellowship is restored with God after His grace bring salvation to the soul. Therefore, intimate relationship with the Creator of heaven and earth is the evidence of new birth. Unfortunately, affection for the things of the life can introduce distraction from regular fellowship. After David assessed the thin line between intimate relationship with God and a subtle romance with the world, he was apt to cry for grace. The foot that suddenly drags to the presence of God is taken to be drifting as the foot of pride. While weariness to the call to offer services to the Lord is admitted as sign of wicked and unprofitable engagement of the hands against the service of its Maker. Holy discontentment for righteousness and intimate fellowship with God is prefer...
