Useful Utensil

“ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me .”” Isaiah 6 : 8 NKJV While it is simply bad for any man to be used against God’s purpose and plan, it is not good enough for anyone to be used without the alignment of his personal will with the will of God. There is a significant difference in the following terms: (1) being used by God; (2) being used for God; and (3) being useful to God. To be used by God appears to imply the use of a utensil against its freewill. For example, Jonah was used by God to preach to the city of Nineveh against his self will. God is sovereign, and His purposes and plans are superior to man’s intentions and preferences. Therefore, anyone can be used by God, especially against the will of the utensil. For the part of being used for God, this is a pitiable release of services by the utensil, without being mindful of the perfect will of God. For example, the services of Isaiah b...

Serious Servants

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”” Isaiah‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Diligence in business is a commendable ethic, naturally for progress and procession in life. Even by scriptural standard, this act of seriousness represents a necessary requirement for standing before kings. Unfortunately, the King of kings needs more than serious servants. Such was prophet Isaiah before his encounter with the Lord and his appearance for purging from being undone. Seriousness with sin or self-centeredness may pass as smartness before men; but the holy Hill of God is restricted and reserved for those who are accredited as sent servants of the most High. When we are just serious, we merely have work to do for the Lord; but when we become sent servants, that is when God has schedule of work assigned for us. Even in believer’s day-to-day activities, family engagement, and business attachments, it is better to be sure of G...

Right Realm

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/isa.6.8.nkjv There is no doubt about the reality of frustration caused by a misconception of an authority’s request and a subordinate’s response. For peaceful coexistence and accommodation at home and in the fellowship of people, a compromise towards the right of both request and response is often desirable. Likewise, fruitful fellowship with God depends on the ability of His children to constantly match ‘I heard...’ with ‘I said...’. Oftentimes, we say perfectly different things from what we heard. Isaiah had been engaged in the business of saying much things about God’s business, relationships, and righteousness prior to his new encounter with the Lord here. Whereas, it has here that he knew how ‘undone’ he was. And when we are equally ‘undone’ or not in the right realm with God, our right responses would...
