Mercy Ministries

“ Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.” II Corinthians 4 : 1 NKJV By the tenet of “ But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin ( Micah 3 : 8)”, the courage in the ministry of Prophet Micah safely compared to the confidence in the ministry of Apostle Paul. No doubt, when the mercy ministries committed to believers are readily confronted by the effrontery of manipulation from the pit of hell, there is every tendency to get disconnected and lose heart. Unfortunately in our digital age and advanced social networking, fabrication of evidence is rife, recording of video and audio messages is now subject to high-tech forensic validation, and there are more prophets, preachers, and pastors that are full of the spirit of lies rather than the spirit of the Lord. Notwithstanding, believers need to be reminded that we do not have manipula...

Trusted Treasure

“ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day .” II Corinthians 4 : 7 , 16 NKJV More than ever before (no thanks to the advancement of social media and digital technologies), our culture emphasizes the importance of the outwards and the seen. Whereas, actually, the inward and the unseen (i.e., our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes) determine and control the outward behaviours. And since most human dispositions are ruled by the outward manifestations, externalities, and socio-economic indices, it is not far-fetched the realities of emotional instabilities, human social disturbances, disaffection, distrust and disunity among brethren, fear and anxiety, etc. Unfortunately, it is not possible for anyone to build his castle of treasures on the outwards and the seen; and expect its structural integrity ...

Glory Game

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Without the assurance of salvation, life is a game filled with uncertainty, anxiety and a total mess. With the ongoing global uncertainties and devastation across the regions, even those who apparently dwell safely have little or no confidence in their safe haven. But for those who have found grace, all things (including pains, challenges of life, and disappointment) represent an embodiment of a glory game. In a mere acknowledgment of the realities, Paul used the term light affliction for believers’ glory game. But more importantly here is the emphasis on its pleasantry… working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory . It was the same glory game that brought Joseph to the palace through the tunnel of the pit and prison. The enemy and all his cohorts of evil machineries may be busy with the cooking of a gory ga...

Precious Pearl

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭ 4:17 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/2co.4.17.nkjv In the preparation phase of every pearl, the pearly-mind may not just be concerned about the painful process. Most times, the preparation phase of all precious pearls is apparently endless. Likewise, painful moments in any purpose-driven life are often viewed as the perpetual presentation phase and not just a temporal preparatory phase. Whereas, the Spirit reminds believers that a far more exceeding purpose and an eternal weight of glory demand an ingredient of light affliction and a temporary moment of pain. Unfortunately, because the eternal value of most good and godly purposes is mostly hidden, people often despise the promised presentation of glory in precious pearl. However, as long as the heart is fixed on the preciousness of God who promised (and not necessarily on the painful ...
