For the psalmist, public gaze brought oppressions to him and a defensive retaliation from him, until his focus became shifted to God as the One who is always in control. Yes, the Lord is always in control of all gazes received from our daily engagements in life. Unfortunately, when we allow others to steal the show, we fall into vices and the pitfalls set by the enemies. Anyone who puts his hope in the Lord, against all the gazes received in life, receives God’s grace to run the race. God is both the believers’ Sun and Shield for glory and grace. Likewise, life that is filled with comfort and affluence can hardly admit the verdict of an exit from the world. And although the end of stay on earth is common for all men, not many people desire to freely engage in the exit discussion. However, when the Psalmist prayed “LORD, make me to know my end”, he seeks the grace to avoid a misplacement of priority. Wisdom teaches that a guided understanding of the short stay on earth prepares the heart for the long stay in heaven. Therefore, everyday is acknowledged as a transit station, irrespective of the extensive accumulation of privileges and opportunities endowed. Selah Life's performances within the numbers of days and years is finite; but assessment in terms of impact may be somewhat indefinite. Acts of goodness and generosity are generally accepted as the best measure of the essence of life's existence. Unfortunately, an effective management of good gestures is mostly a complex phenomenon, depending on the relationship. The reality is that life's worth is not determined by human acts of goodness; but by God's action of grace. Grace provokes the relevance of life's existence, and enables its productivity. Just as David's comparison of life as a vapour, life's worth in human breadth is traceless in the air; but the trace of grace in life is eternal in its worth.
