Risen Reign

“ For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces. Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power. ” Psalms 21 : 11 - 13   While the love of God is demonstrated by the cross of Jesus Christ, His power is manifested by the resurrection of the Lord. Notwithstanding, even 2,000 years after the resurrection of Christ, the conspiracies against ‘He is risen! ’ have never subsided, as vividly demonstrated by the lifestyle of believers in the power of God’s grace. Although what the scriptures says concerning this grace is “ teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age ( Titus 2 : 12 )”, believers often make mockery of the power of God’s grace by dancing in unrighteousness with arrogance and pride. Meanwhile, even in the...

Planned Plots

” Your hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You. For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform. “ ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭21‬:‭8‬, ‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If there is always an absolute foreknowledge of the limits of human plots, there will be a decorum with the planning of their schemes and the seriousness they often attract. Particularly, when the enemies are reigning with their wicked schemes, the hands of the righteous are often tied; and the promises of the Lord are mostly considered as delayed, or sometimes denied. But the psalmist, drawing from personal experience, claims the right hands of the Lord will find the enemies. For examples, the planned plots of Pharaoh against the Israelites were aborted at the Red Sea by the right hands of the Lord. Needless to count the myriads of other planned plots against the righteous, like the plots of Haman, Ahithophel, Judas, and Herod. It implies that only the counsel of the Lo...

Precious Praise

“Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces. Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.” Psalms‬ ‭21‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The redemption story is always a powerful source of praise for those who are redeemed by the demonstration of the Lord’s strength and power. For the children of Israel, after the Lord’s demonstration of His strength and power over the Egyptians at the Red Sea, everyone of the redeemed sang the precious praise unto the Lord. And while it is always unfortunate that many people still end up in destruction around the redemption story today, the divine plan remains a call to repentance. The psalmist acclaimed “ Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces “. Even today, God’s arrows are turning many away the vilest of offenders from their wickedness into God’s righteousness. Therefore, let the redee...
