Sacred Salvation

  “ For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel .”” Luke 2 : 30 - 32 NKJV Those who support the use of sensible salvation for the service of humanity have always devoted their lives, talents, and intelligence as political activists, human rights advocates, literary icons, etc. Devotion to this common sense has always been the dividing line between the developed economies and the underdeveloped. Simeon, no doubt by the scriptural reference of his being a just and devout man, and waiting for the Consolation of Israel, must have contributed his quota of sensible salvation to the civil service of the nation of Israel. Yet, the Holy Spirit wanted him to witness the superiority of the sacred salvation over sensible salvation before his passing. Peace Paths

  ”“ Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation “ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭29‬-‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ By contrasting Simeon with Balaam, we can tell that not everyone who wish to depart this world in peace and righteousness wait on his desire. While “ Let me die the death of the righteous ” is a prayer request, “ Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace ” is a testimony of answer to prayer. The difference in the two experiences is the fact that peace paths require the virtue of patience and waiting upon the Lord. However, it is important to note that waiting on the peace paths is not possible without the guidance of the Spirit. This is because the flesh is used to wanting something that the Spirit often forbids. Therefore, waiting upon the Lord implying the letting down of all fleshly agitators and the pursuits of personal desires.
