Unfortunately, the experience of David and that of many real men did not always support this expectation. For many years after David’s divine anointing as king of Israel, he was confronted with a perfect mix of the opposite of peace, prosperity and promotion. Notwithstanding, these unpleasant experiences taught David the undiluted balance of judgement and justice, both at home and among his people. Although King David had been anointed many years earlier, his appointment as the right Judge in Israel took many years of wilderness and training. Despite the injustice suffered in the hands of Saul and the wrong judgment received from the likes of Absaloam and Ahithophel, David eventually learned from God the administration of judgment and justice to all his people. Unfortunately, the path is not an easy one for anyone who is willing to pull the string with the system. Whereas, David endured the injustice and wrong judgment in order to keep his focus on the true Judge - God.
