Righteous Desire
"For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find." (Romans 7:18 NKJV) With the exception of evil-sworn hearts, human hearts generally intend to do good. To will good talks of the good intention in man, while to perform good or the righteous desire is lacking. Human efforts, channeled through reform and religious centres, can provide significant assistance toward reformation of habits. However, the heart can only be accessed by the grace of God. The best product from most reformation remains the transformation from good intention to a reformed attention. This implies that only regeneration can guarantee righteous desire.
