Maintenance Manual

“ Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful. ” Titus 3 : 1 , 8 , 14 NKJV The challenge before good citizens or workers on the disparity between subjection to rulers and authorities and submission to good works emphasizes the indispensability of scriptural recommendation as the best maintenance manual. Little wonder why God recommended the same Book of the Law to Joshua as his maintenance manual towards good success. This biblical principle of success underscores the indispensability of consistent fellowship between God and all good citizens or workers to maintain good works in life’s projects and all relationships. Unfortu...

Careless Callousness

“ This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. ” Titus 3 : 8 NKJV Just by being created in the image of God, goodness was part of the natural attributes of man until the heart became depraved with callousness and corruption. Actually, goodness keeps the heart of man healthy like medicine. And like John Wesley once articulated on the subject matter, “ Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can ”. Without mincing words, life ceases to have relevance the moment it can no longer do good to anyone. Like John Bunyan who wrote ‘The Pilgrim’s Progress’ from the prison in Bedford Gaol, Apostle Paul wrote the greatest part of the epistles from incarceration with an undisputed message of goodness t...

Merciful Maintenance

“ This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. ” ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Good works are easy to maintain in an atmosphere with apparent competition for good works; but such an atmosphere is out of this world. In our world, good works are politically motivated for personal benefits. Whereas, ‘those who have believed in God ’ and not in themselves are always careful to maintain good works. It takes an undiluted showering of the mercy of God to maintain good works, especially in the atmosphere of hatred, harassment, and hostility. The fact is that consistency in merciful maintenance is a demonstration of the believer's faith in God as the only Rewarder of good works. Unfortunately, those who wouldn’t be consistent because of their reasonable response to hatred, harassment, and hostility in their world have succeeded in cutting th...
