It is a fundamental fellowship of God, the Creator and Chief vineyard Keeper, with man - the created Being. But the fall of man changes everything…and the fallen vine was thrown outside to choose either to rot or receive the Keeper’s plan of redemption. And throughout the dispensations, spanning from Old Testament to New Testament, the story of vineyard visitation remains the only relevance of life’s reality and restoration from repudiation. And unlike the dread and death in the deceitfulness of riches, fame and worldliness, this vine has never survived without the worth, warmth, and wellness of the vineyard visitation.   “ Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name. Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! ” Psalms 80 : 14 , 18 - 19 NKJV Although the prayer of the psalmist invited the Lord God of hosts to “ Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine (the people of God) ”, the act of prayer in itself implies revival, restoration, and the visitation of the Lord. A praying people is a visited vine, because proud people can only plan and do not pray. So, if anything, the hedging of the vine by the vicissitudes of life, and the uproots of privileges or opportunities from God’s people are mostly the indirect visitation of God.  Therefore, the visited vine is already saved in the court of the Lord or the sacred place of prayer. Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!” Psalms‬ ‭80‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The reason why the Son of God became the Son of man to bring salvation down is because the penalty for sin must be paid by a sinless one of us, with flesh and blood; and not by an Angel or one of the hosts of heaven. Likewise, true revival and restoration experience happens when God’s hand finds the man of His right hand in the midst of the community of people, society, and family. While God would readily inspire the people to pray for revival, He is always on the lookout for one of them who can be strengthened as His battle axe and weapon of war.
