However, the waiting period is often treated as idleness, indolence, and inkling around in the midst of fast-paced intelligence of men. While the wonderful works of men are mostly etched on compromises, corruption and cruelty, those who are deceived by these works are never concerned about the consequences of missing the way to the city of God. As long as a temporary access to the city of gold is secured, waiters on the wonderful works of God are considered losers for their long suffering and endurance through the challenges of life. It implies that only the redeemed of the Lord can truly understand the goodness of the Lord. And all the grateful hearts among the redeemed would readily give thanks for God’s art of goodness; and not necessarily for His act of goodness. Therefore, the great goodness is embodied in every believer’s full understanding of God’s nature with the expression of gratitude, as inspired by the psalmist “ Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy ” (Psalms 107 : 1 - 2 ). For example, the children of Israel were served with the wilderness experience before they could navigate their way into the promised rest; not because there was no better or faster route according to human logical analysis.
