Prevailing Prayer

  “ Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: Preserve my life from fear of the enemy. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; And all the upright in heart shall glory. ” Psalm‬ ‭64‬:‭1‬, ‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬ The only escape from Ichabod experience in life is a prevailing prayer. Prior to this turnaround experience, believer’s prayer is often a channel for the expression of fear, anxiety, and worry. The fear of the enemy’s sagacity, strategies, and sentences is the basis for perplexing prayer, when the hearts are overwhelmed by wiles and ways of the wicked. Notwithstanding, pushing through towards “ Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer “ remains the privilege of a prevailing prayer. Soul’s Sanctuary

  “ O God, thou art My God; early will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee In a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, So as I have seen thee in the sanctuary .” Psalm 63 : 1 - 2 KJV Without grace and glory is disgrace and emptiness. This is always the soul’s story until God is found. Unfortunately, the search for satisfaction in life has always proffered material wealth, multiplicity of women, and manifestation of wisdom; but the end story has been nothing different from dryness and thirst. The reality on ground is that the provision of material things and the basic things of life can be the desirable sanctuary for the body, they cannot replace the innate portion for God in the soul of man.  God is the soul’s sanctuary and the only place for rest and satisfaction from dryness and thirst.
