Mighty Moves

“ Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant. Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me .” Psalms 86 : 16 - 17 NKJV The apparent evidence of human existence and relevance is simply the show of mighty moves. Unfortunately, the contest for mighty moves often leads to the contempt of messy manipulations and human oppression. When king Saul was very small in his own eyes, he was pulled out to the limelight by the mighty moves of God. But after his elevation and privileged exercise of authority over the people, he was moved to resist the mighty moves of God in the life of David. Generally, life’s experiences present the David challenge of dealing with either the minion moves of King Saul or the mighty moves of God. Graciously, David turned to God in prayer “ Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed ”...

Stronger Strength

“ Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant. Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me. ” Psalms 86 : 16 - 17 NKJV It is a lame ideology for anyone to attempt the show of life with just his physical strength. Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel (Amos 7 : 14 - 15 )”, he attested to the authority behind his mandate. Unfortunately, most bullies are often too proud to recognize the stronger strength in the almighty God, even when the mercy...

Shining Sign

“Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.” Psalms‬ ‭86‬:‭11‬, ‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If only the Lord is allowed to be our ultimate help and pathfinder in life, finding purpose for living would not have been complicated. Even when many who claim to know the Lord and profess to follow His counsels desire signs from heaven, the overriding metrics are mostly the display of material wealth, political power, and carnal maneuvering of others toward self glory. But when the psalmist prayed “ Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth ”, he appears to provide believers with the divine perspective or sign on shining for the glory of God. No matter how the sign is faked otherwise, the pursuit of self glory in life will always distract the heart away from the wholesome truth and the will of God. Whereas, those who wait ...
