Coming Conquest

“But Simon Peter answered Him, “ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God .”” John 6:68-69 NKJV The main challenge before bread and butter Christians is the seemingly several alternatives to access Christ’s conquest. Therefore, when Simon Peter asked “ Lord, to whom shall we go ?“, he appeared stranded on the singularity of the access to Christ. Yes, between Christ’s calling and Christ’s conquest in every pilgrim’s pathway is the coming conquest. Unlike Christ’s conquests, the coming conquest is every believer’s responsibility. When we walk through the wilderness and desert, fight through the beasts and vices, and endure several threats and the storms of life, we receive grace to grow in faith, inspiration for the discerning of the Spirit, and appetite for valuable Christian virtues. This is the indispensable path for anyone to “ come to believe and know that You are...

Opt-out Opportunity

“ Then Jesus said to the twelve, “ Do you also want to go away? ” But Simon Peter answered Him, “ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life .”‭‭ John‬ ‭6:67-68‬ ‭NKJV‬ Everyone knows that every good product must have a clear and no-obligation opt-out opportunity. The only challenge though is that there must be a responsible opt-in offering before a reliable opt-out opportunity can exist. Before Jesus could ask the disciples “ Do you also want to go away? ”, He was confident they had been sufficiently taught the words of life. It was a responsibility that demanded His patience and intimate engagements during different preaching and training sessions. Unfortunately, many of our children and disciples today are conveniently taught errors outside, faster and deeper than the basic truths that may be available inside. It implies that they often do not need a pass to opt-out before they are gone. Therefore, “ Do you also want to go away? ” is a provision of an opt-ou...

Empty Exploration

“Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” ‭‭John‬ ‭6:67-68‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/jhn.6.67-68.nkjv Even before the advent of the theory of relativity, the pursuits of everything that life offers are relative to the experiences of different people. Happiness, joy, and satisfaction at home, society and within the fellowship of people are simply the products of relativity. But when Jesus presented a different concept of life satisfaction to the people, it was difficult for people to admit the revealed empty exploration in the concept of relative satisfaction. Without the consideration for eternal life, the pursuit of joy and happiness at home, workplace satisfaction, and fulfillment in career is understandably relative. Therefore, Jesus asked for the decision of the disciples on the option of going back in pursuit of this relative satisfaction. But Simon Pe...
