Private Practices

“ Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.” John 4 : 48 , 50 , 53 KJV The story of a nobleman of Capernaum explains the difference between public and private practices. Publicly, the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him to align with public expectations from noble personalities and adherence to political correctness. Likewise, those who practice religion instead of cultivating personal relationships with Jesus Christ would do anything to secure a good public perception. It is possible to cross all “t”s and dot all “i”s as regards public perception on morality and religion; but still have zero faith in the manifestation of the Almighty God on personal issue...

Spirit Sense

“ In God will I praise his word: In the LORD will I praise his word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”  Psalm 56 : 10 - 11 KJV What man can do in this Gen Z generation is enormous, considering the recent advances in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, etc. it is understandable why these street senses drive human administrations, family relationships, social interactions; and most regrettably, street senses now drive pulpit ministration in most churches today. When the fear of street senses decides what is considered doable in believers’ personal life affairs and relationships, the manifestation of the supernatural has definitely become a myth, fallacy and ridiculous agenda. Therefore, when the psalmist repeatedly say “ In God….”, he speaks of the use of the spirit sense to access only the supernaturals. The spirit sense promotes the fear of God and the understanding of the will of God through His words. B...

Steadfast Sowers

“ The wicked worketh a deceitful work: But to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. ” Proverbs 11 : 18 KJV The myth against transformation by righteousness in any system is not the potency of the truth or the seed of righteousness, it is usually the people undermining the wickedness of deceit through sluggishness. “ The wicked worketh a deceitful work ” is not just a divine revelation of the havoc in wickedness, it is a strict warning for the preservation of the seed of righteousness through steadfastness. For example, when the elders of the Israelites that  took over the mantle from Joshua failed to drive out the Canaanites, the Lord repeated the same warning, like “ Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you (Judges 2 : 3)”. Likewise today, our home, city, society and institutional system needs steadfast sowers against the infiltration of wickedne...

Best Bond

I “For it was not an enemy that reproached me; Then I could have born it: Neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; Then I would have hid myself from him: As for me, I will call upon God; And the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: And he shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55 : 12 , 16 - 17 KJV When Jesus asked Judas Iscariot “ betrayeth thou the Son of man with a kiss?” , it merely aligned with the psalmist’s pain around the common searching for the best bond in life. Being a social animal, intimate relationships and trust are built around closeness along the bloodline, business, family, workplaces, residences, etc. Unfortunately, with an inevitable betrayal experience in relationships, many people do appear to throw in the towel on trust with hasty generalizations. Whereas, life is not to be lived with the screwed up understanding of putting the burden of the best bond on human beings, no matter the assigned ...

Spirit Stimulus

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit .” John 3 : 5 , 8 KJV Just as it is important to note that Nicodemus’ amazement about the import of God’s abiding presence with Jesus Christ inspired the spirit stimulus recommendation, no one can escape manipulation by the elements of this world without the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, “ Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God ” remains the unshakable foundation for the practice of righteousness, the provision of peace, and the preservation of joy in the Holy Ghost in the believer's everyday life. Otherwise, the wind of conflicts at home, conspiracies at workplaces, and corruption in the society is bound t...

God’s Goals

“ For strangers are risen up against me, And oppressors seek after my soul: They have not set God before them. Selah .” Psalm 54 : 3 KJV Welcome to the month of MAY, the month of Manifestations of the Almighty in You. Yes, those who pay attention to God’s goals in all engagements, encounters and entertainment will see the manifestations of God. For example, Mary the mother of Jesus had never experienced the manifestations of miracles from Jesus before the wedding engagement at Cana of Galilee. But her belief in MAY encouraged the servants’ paying of attention to “ Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John 2 : 5 )”. And thereafter, “ This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him (John 2 : 11 )”.  If APRIL has been about the Application of Perseverance and Resilience with Integrity but Loss, the month of MAY promises a different story, if God’s goals are focused and His grace is cultivated. Let a...

Greatest Gift

“ Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus .” John 1 : 35 - 37 KJV John the Baptist’ voluntary surrendering of Andrew and his colleague to Jesus Christ is another unveiling of the greatest gift in the Master, besides being the source of the green goodness and gracious glory. While many people would readily see the possession of followership or discipleship as the basis of ministry, John the Baptist not only saw the pursuit of the greatest gift in Jesus, he inspired his disciples to make the ultimate decision to leave his ministry to follow the Messiah. Likewise, many things in our relationship with people in career, family, and ministry go south when we see only personal promotion, affluence, and recognition. Unfortunately, those whose lives’ ambitions are limited to the pursuit of these Greek gifts often do not consider the...
