Christless Condemnation

“ When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more .” John 8 : 10 - 11 KJV The story of God’s mercy as related to the woman caught in adultery by the Pharisees speaks volume on the subject of condemnation. She escaped condemnation simply because Christ was with her, and not necessarily because she advanced the confession of her sin. As soon as her conviction appreciated the presence of Christ, she immediately experienced the mercy of God. “ And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more .” Unfortunately, many convicted sinners today struggled with Christless condemnation because of their pride and unwillingness to appreciate the presence of Christ. For example, when Samson painfully realized that God had left him, he failed to pray for the restoration of God’s pr...

Wise Win

“ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that winneth souls is wise. ” Proverbs 11 : 30 KJV The scriptural concept of a wise win implies the reality of engagement in foolish or unrighteous wins in our competitive world. It is actually possible to gain dignity, recognition, and fortune from a system managing any project of life and lose the souls of the parties involved. Doing the right thing is far easier than doing it the right and acceptable way to both God and man. Obviously, if the way of the world is all about political correctness, administrative alertness, and social stability, it is understandable why the fruit of the unrighteous minds in our homes, institutions and societies can mostly be hatred, revenge, and wickedness. Even in religious circles, the gifts of the spirit can sometimes be engaged in a conflict of interests with the fruit of the spirit, leading up to the several evidences of hypocrisy and sanctimonious characteristics that can only win self...

Spirit Sense

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. ” John 6 : 63 KJV   The response of Jesus here to the disciples’ frustration on the plight of their carnal cravings reveals the superiority of the spirit sense. “ It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing“ implies that while the spirit sense offers the lively loaves, carnal cravings produce lifeless loaves. And it is important to note that the best of carnal cravings profits nothing more than frustrations, fighting, and frivolity, besides the agitation for the supply of the basic things of life. Unfortunately, purposeless lives are usually satisfied with the provision of the best of what carnal cravings can offer. Little wonder why the enemy of our souls has nothing more on his principle of temptation to the flesh than the cravings for food, fame, and fortunes. The moment anyone’s carnal cravings overwhelm his spirit sense...

Lifeless Loaves

“ Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. ” John 6 : 26 - 27 KJV There is nothing wrong with the gifting of lifeless loaves to arrest the physical and material needs of the people. The only problem is that people hardly give lifeless loaves without ulterior motives. Like politicians who often give lifeless loaves to vulnerable populace for the conscience manipulative reasons, Jesus’ miracles of feeding thousands of people with five loaves of bread was misinterpreted as the offering of lifeless loaves. “ Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled ” implies that the motive...

Just Judge

“ The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: Verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth. ” Psalm 58 : 10 - 11 KJV Preference for hasty joy over hopeful joy does appear to be the cause of the drawbacks experienced in the pursuit of righteousness. Who wait for “ The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance “, when wickedness attracts the frequent paycheques in everyday social lifestyles, societal politics, marketplace interactions? Unfortunately, many partners, principals, and peers who are privileged with material riches and positions of authority have assumed the roles of the unjust judges in our world. And when hopeful joy delays its rewards, the righteous are quick to hang their boots on righteousness, uprightness, and steadfastness with godly services. Whereas, hopeful joy requires waiting upon the Lord through consistent meditati...

Triumphant Truth

“ If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.” John 5 : 31 , 37 - 38 KJV The simple correlation between Christ’s declaration “ If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true “ and “ I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” is that triumphant truth is borne by the inspiration of God. Truth according to personal opinion and experiences with people is readily twisted and subject to bias, bigotry, and bitterness. Twisted truth feeds on believers’ unwillingness to engage the throne of grace for the inspiration of the Most High on all matters of life. It implies that until the knowledge of the truth is powered by the inspiration of God about the same truth, the human mind can be manipulated against the fullness of God’s purpose. Therefore, the triumphant ...

Private Privileges

“ For  Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. ” John 5 : 20 KJV Public performances in our homes, workplaces, and the society are often driven by approval syndrome, rather than the cultivation of genuine love relationships. When we compete for attention, approval, and appropriation by fellow men, it does make sense for people to fall for lip services, hypocrisy, and double dealings. Therefore, when the Pharisees opted for public performances to attract the attention and applause of the people, Jesus Christ promoted quiet time with the Father as the secret of His fame. Unfortunately, many people still believe that what they show to people to prove their capabilities and secure their acknowledgment are the determinants of breakthrough and excellence in life. Whereas, real excellence and breakthrough are powered by what God shows to His beloved in the closets. For example, Gid...
