Long Love

“ Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ” I Corinthians 13 : 4 , 7 NKJV By all standards, the dominant characteristic of love is long suffering. Of course, a clear imitation of love is lust; which is clearly averse to even a little suffering. Little wonder God’s version of love is all about sacrifice, because God is love. He loves the world and He gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ as the ransom for our sins. Therefore, the callout on all believers, who are the products of God’s love, is appropriate. If I am also love or sacrifice as God, do I suffer long and am I kind? Am I free from envy, parading of myself, and puffing up of myself? Do I believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things, especially in view of their conspiracies against the pursuit of a clearly revealed counsel of God? Even when the stretch of our little love ...

Greatest Gift

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”‭‭ 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Sometimes, it is difficult to understand the distinguishing context between faith , hope , and love . Perhaps if we can define faith as the evidence in God’s ability, and hope as the confidence in our ability to use faith , we might just define love as the willingness to freely share our faith and hope with others, even when they seem unworthy. Love is God’s testing ground or theatre for the demonstration of believer’s faith and hope . Little wonder why relationships with people in our lives suffer because there is no true love? When we claim excellent fai...

For those who do not know God, as expressed in the search for perfect love in The One by John Marrs, the invitation to chaos in relationships that are dictated by science is understandable. Being the Creator of all souls, God is the only Source of soulmates. Unfortunately, misplacement in the hierarchy amidst faith, hope, and love has left little or no gain for those who seek divine guidance in relationships. When the scriptures say love is the greatest gift amidst this mystery mix, it emphasizes why love never fails. While both faith and hope expect something in return of their faithfulness in relationships, only love seeks nothing in re...
