Patient Principal

  “ I will not execute the fierceness of My anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim. For I am God, and not man, The Holy One in your midst; And I will not come with terror. ” Hosea‬ ‭11:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The benefits of reconciliation is here compared with the loss in retribution. Even though God is of a purer eyes and would not tolerate iniquities, He said “ I will not execute the fierceness of My anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim “. Generally, God’s patience with man on the subject of retribution is motivated by the sweetness in reconciliation. Unfortunately, the mercy and the patience of God is mostly abused by the wicked and the people leaving in unrighteousness. Notwithstanding, the righteous people of God can emulate the virtue of patience in dealing with disobedient children as parents; indisciplined students as principal/professor; and disloyal partner in relationships. Peaceful People

  ““ Now let no man contend, or rebuke another; For your people are like those who contend with the priest. ” ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Although the scriptures demand God’s people to follow peace with all men, everyone understands how impossible it is to pursue peace and contention at the same time. Even when the heart pretends to organize peace accords, it is always difficult to arrive at the altar of peace with offerings from hearts occupied by blame games. The truth is that no heart that is yet to find peace with God can truly follow peace with any man. “ For your [peace-less] people are like those who contend with the priest ” suggests people blaming others for their contributions to consequences, when they are part of the primary causes. Whereas, a heart in a singular pursuit of God can accommodate almost all misgivings from fellow men; and leaving the business of correction and rebuke of all (including self) to God.
