Perfect Piece

“ The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands .” Psalms 138 : 8 NKJV The scriptures say we are all God’s masterpieces at creation, until the fall of man. But through God’s redemptive love, human beings have become God’s mindful pieces, until the fullness of His image is reflected. Unfortunately, while idling in the Master’s workshop, it is easy to be more engrossed with the activities of fellowmen or betrayers, fake believers and fiends as boasters. When we throw ourselves as specimens in the devil’s workshop, our ignorant minds will be readily messed up with statements of arrogance and intimidation. Whereas, God’s love actually beams His searchlight on all creatures, including the agents of wickedness and unrighteousness, towards turning all men into perfect pieces. When God’s love is perfected in us, we will be fruitfully engrossed with the Lord’s redemptive mindset on all wicked men, rather than ge...

Perfect People

“ The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands .” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭138‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ One of the reasons why people get freaked out by the concept of perfection is the reality of imperfection in every human’s  nature. But whenever imperfect people sincerely meet our perfect God, they become perfect people with consistent attention under the grace of God. Unlike the natural man, the nature of God is love and His nature is obsessed with the fact that a surrendered man is consistently a work-in-progress in His hands. Unfortunately, man is always disappointed with his desire to look for love in fellow men instead of focussing on God’s love. This disappointment often reveals the imperfections in man through vices that frustrate the grace of God. Whereas, perfect people understand the unsearchable mercy of God and the riches of His grace; they are consistently looking up only to God’s hands for the extensible wor...

Perfect Performance

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭138:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Mood swing is natural to everyone; but the accommodation of someone else’s mood swing is sometimes devastating. For the psalmist, the antidote for mood swing phenomenon is an absolute confidence in God’s promises, particularly when the contributions of human performance are dropping fast. Without absolute confidence in God, the hope of widows, orphans, disfavoured employees, and humbled partners for survival and relevance in life are often lost, whenever their relationships suffer disasters and disappointment. Whereas, the scriptures declare that there are no abandoned projects with God, who “ Do not forsake the works of Your hands” . Even when the relationship of believers with human performance is favoured, these contributions are merely a subset of the works of God’s hands. He has thousands and one means of accomplishing the wor...

Fruitful Focus

“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭138:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/psa.138.8.nkjv What concerns a man can readily be assessed by his social, family, emotional, health, and career life. When any of these aspects of life becomes challenged, it will not be difficult for any man to get the perfect report card that reflects imperfection. Therefore, the primary focus of a serious man in life is the fixing of his imperfections, through either the seeking of support from fellow man or the knocking on heavenly portal for divine intervention. However, when the Psalmist preferred to seek the LORD, he opted to expose his ignorance of the things that concerns him or the imperfections in his life. Sincerely, in everything that concerns a man in life, he is ignorant of the perfect diagnosis of the imperfections. And when God is busy fixing up the man within, the man is impatiently cryin...

Great Goodness

http://bible.us/psa138.7.nkjv Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The frightful preoccupation of troubles in life attempts to deprive the soul from appreciating the faithful prominence of the Almighty. Meanwhile, the goodness of God is never diminished by the grievous circumstances in believers' life and endeavours. Whereas, its greatness is rather deeply appreciated in the midst of trouble. Therefore, the Psalmist resolved to focus on the precious fellowship with the Lord, rather than getting distracted by the precarious wrath of his enemies. What the Lord will do for those who retain their confidence in the Lord is acknowledged to be great and greatly refreshing. The Lord will revive the heart, restore the body, and redeem the soul. Painfully, we walk in the midst of trouble in order to appreciate the great goodness of the Lord.
