A reliable merit award program pride itself in its unbiased and merciless considerations of individual contributions. However, relationship with God is completely averse to merit. It is absolutely based on mercy. While diligence and discipline are encouraged in our relationship with the system of the world, God relates with His beloved on the basis of mercy. After all, all the possible righteous claims of man are entirely filthy before the Holy and Mighty God. The perfect will of heaven is stamped in the affairs of man when the marvelous mercy of God overrides the merciless merit system.

The reality of life poses a significant threat on the faith of many believers, especially at moment when hope for a change is deferred. Likewise, the truth according to available success stories on various issues of life has a way of drifting little faith away from the promises of God. Whereas, God's truth is not based on empirical evidences, but it is wholly anchored on His personality. Even against all hope, believers have got the greatness of the Lord's merciful kindness a sufficient reason for the offering of His praise. This truth continue to endure, even when the beneficiaries of the Lord's mercy cease to exist. Therefore, a trusted truth encourages praise on the basis of the Lord's unchanging character, rather than anchoring on the perceived dynamic of His charisma.
