   “ God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, And to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? Or to thy faithfulness round about thee?” Psalm 89 : 7 - 8 KJV As faithful Father to His obedient children, faithfulness is expected to begat steadfastness. Therefore, while the psalmist’s rhetoric question was targeted to God intentionally, and not man; it was a callout on self’s steadfastness and submission to the love of God. As rightly positioned by Apostle Paul in the New Testament,  “ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ( Romans 8 : 35 )”. While the agents of darkness and the architects of evil and wickedness against the lots of the righteous intend the spread of believers’ discouragement, this rhetoric question is often needed in the place of prayer for absolute reliance on the faithful...

  “ For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, And to be held in reverence by all those around Him. O Lord God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. ” Psalms 89 : 6 - 8 NKJV It is always true that much familiarity and unpleasant romance with the activities of mighty men do readily destroy the confidence of believers in the excellency of the Almighty God. Consequently, we abrogate our hope and faith in God’s promises in the face of problems and wilderness experiences, thinking where is the love of God in the midst of these compelling looseness? Whereas, believers’ unpleasant exchanges are the best theatre for the unveiling of God’s excelling exploits…the compelling callout into divine fellowship through groaning. And with the psalmist, these endless callouts with rhetorical questions around looseness and failure ...

Your faithfulness also surrounds You .” Psalms 89 : 6 - 8 NKJV The movers of this world are respected shakers or shockers of love; and it is understandable why people who desperately need a shake of love to make advances or necessary movement in life do catch cold when these movers sneeze. Unfortunately, fellowship with these mundane movers often requires compromise in believers’ desirable fellowship or intimate relationship with God. And when Paul submitted a rhetorical question “ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? ”, he attested to the reality of persecution that awaits anyone who dare disrespect a mundane mover, in reverence of the mightier mover.   “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. O Lord God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.” Psalms‬ ‭89‬:‭1‬, ‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The earth is blessed with the assembly of mighty men, who control the happenings in every society. And it is not surprising that we are bound to have more physical interactions with the mighty’s messes than every believer’s intimacy with the Lord. If these physical interactions with the mighty’s messes consistently reflect the Lord’s grace, mercy and favour, they will continually confirm our faith in the mightier’s mercies. Unfortunately, the interests of the mighty’s messes are usually in conflict with the mightier’s mercies. Therefore, it takes the sustaining grace to proclaim like the psalmist “ I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations“ .
