Even among believers in God, it is much more easier for anyone to treat the diverse interests between God and man in isolation. And there are always grave consequences for anyone who dare to either fear man above God or trust God at the expense of man. While the consequences of the fear of man include snare, sin, corruption, and unrighteousness, the consequences of trusting in God alone include persecution, evil speaking, and wickedness from men. How then can a man find true freedom and fellowship in life’s affairs? It is simply by damning the temporal consequences from men in preference to the everlasting safety in the choice of trusting God. It’s just not a sustainable idea, as it turns quickly to fear of man. Although there is always dignity in faith and not in fear, man often labour to attract fear rather than faith. Why are we often tempted to seek position, prosperity and privileges in life in order to intimidate and not to inspire? The fear of man brings a snare (intimidation); but faith in man brings safety (or inspiration). And if consistency and safety in relationships at home, workplace and the society are desirable, absolute faith in God and trust in the LORD that holds the breath of every man are more secured. Actually, the fear of man is the wrong ‘something’ with the faith in man.

There appears to be a permanent register created in the soul and occupied by every son and all acquaintances that are inhabited within the sphere of anyone's influence. Invariably, the correction of the son turns out to be the maintenance of own soul, through every submission to the counsel of the Lord. Little wonder, those who have succeeded in the business of parenting will always be grateful to God for the privilege of personal transformation, made possible by their willingness to accept God's correction before offering an effective correction of others within their sphere of influence.
