Sound Souls

“ Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, And equity; yea, every good path. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, And knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, Understanding shall keep thee :” Proverbs 2 : 9 - 11 KJV The pride of substantial souls is the use of carnal wisdom and intelligence to accumulate wealth, material affluence and social influence. Jacob, with the use of his pre-Penuel strategies, could afford to throw up his deceitfully accumulated wealth to appease Esau; but he quickly realized the limitations of carnal wisdom and intelligence in vacating the vengeance of Esau. It is always pathetic that king Solomon here knew about the sacredness of sound souls, but still got distracted and deceived by the avalanche of substantial souls. Obviously, the secret of retaining sound souls is simply the continuous reverence of the fact that “ For the LORD giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2...

Winsome Wit

“ Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly ;” Proverbs 2 : 5 - 7 NKJV Until the Jabbok encounter of Jacob with God, all the wits of Jacob towards appeasing Esau and his four hundred ferocious battalion fell down like pack of cards. His 20 years internship experience with Laban had enabled the upskill of intelligence, craftiness, amidst his undeniable intimacy with God. Notwithstanding, the more he deployed his wise wits towards unsettling the 20 years of Esau’s rage and ravaging for vengeance, the more he realized that the only source of winsome wit is God. Likewise, whenever we are desperate in our search for the Lord and the understanding of His revealed will, “ Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth...

Wise Walk

“Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;” Proverbs‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If there is a pathway to the knowledge of God, it is obvious that the other pathways outside the sacred pathway have nothing to do with the fear of the Lord. Unfortunately, while the wicked and the unrighteous people walk on corrupt pathways with focus and determination, the people of God often walk on the righteous pathway without strong desire. This is because the wise walk can seemingly be slow, and sluggish; and its deliverables are sometimes unappealing, especially when subjected to the world reward system. Whereas, the wise walk demands integrity, discipline, and uprightness from those whose primary desire is the pleasing of God and the pursuit of righteousness. And while reward for wise walk appears vague...
