Grand Glory

“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭115:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ While mercy prevents the service of the consequences of the bad choices we made, truth promotes the service of the commendation for our good choices. Unfortunately, no human being can be trusted with a reliable service of both mercy and truth. And with a common baggage of consequences for the wrongs on the plate of all, no one deserves the credit for his great achievements and breakthrough in life. Notwithstanding, man is often tempted to shift the glory attention from God to fellow men, in recognition of their life’s achievements. These men and their achievements have always become idols that takes away human attention from the glory of God. Whereas, the psalmist truly observed the necessity of the grand glory to the great God for His mercy and truth over all who trust and fear Him. Selfless Service

“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭115:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/psa.115.1.nkjv It is no news that consistent and reliable services at home, workplaces and in the ministries are readily threatened when self interest is endangered. Unfortunately, it is only easy to sing “Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory”. Enlisting for a selfless call for professional or ministerial service in a world obsessed with recognition and reputation is hard.

Tainted Trust

Creativity thrives in the application of earthly resources and acquired knowledge for the development of new material and innovation. Being designed for the purpose of improved standard of living, many do not only enjoy the benefits of creativity, but are moved to repose their trust in the work of other man's hands. God is the Creator of every creature, including all people and their creativity. The material and virtual things of the world, including ‎position, property, and prosperity are designed to be used by people. Needless to say that people are not expected to be used by the work of their creativity. Unfortunately, and in agreement with the observation of the Psalmist, the elevators of the works of creativity to a worship status have developed tainted hearts with blinded reasoning. Obviously, both those who promote the worship of people or possessions, and those who devote t...
