Holy Hill

“ Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the Lord our God is holy .” Psalms 99 : 9 NKJV Whether through ascension or descension, the significance of the holy hill of the Lord is simply holiness. But, even though the stake of the Lord’s holiness is so high that it cannot accommodate the faintest of unrighteousness, the vilest of sinners can still attempt to ascend the holy hill, if they are willing to allow its descent through forgiveness of sin and repentance. And the redemption story is graphically captured by the lyrics of the song by the Crabb family “ Please Come Down to Me! ”. Likewise, the psalmist invites every heart of worship in all the redeemed of the Lord to the holy hill with a sincere reference of God’s holiness. When we live daily by intentionally purging our hearts from every form of unrighteousness, we are inadvertently exalting the Holy God in His holy hill within our hearts, saying “ Please Come Down to Me! ”.

Excelling Exaltation

“ Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the Lord our God is holy. ” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭99‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The distinguishing attribute of the Most High God is His excelling exaltation and worship, primarily on the basis of His holiness. And the compromise of this attribute is the reason why the Devil lost his position as the Bright and Morning Star in heaven. Unfortunately, he succeeded in bringing man down into the depravity of sin through the promotion of vices, through Adam and Eve, that undermine the excelling exaltation of God. Even today, believers are constantly ensnared to worship all appearing pseudo gods in their passion for properties, promotions, and the prides of this world; at the expense of preserving the worship of God in holiness and righteousness. Our archenemy does not care about how many hills we choose to worship, as long as we do not promote the excelling exaltation of the Most High God on His Holy Hill. Otherwise, those who must worship God in trut...

Pure Praise

http://bible.us/psa99.9.nkjv Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the Lord our God is holy. It is readily acknowledged that‎ praise is comely but inconsistent, when shrouded only in the appreciation of the activities of the subject of praise. Many would cease the position of power in order to take advantage of the deficiency in activity-motivated praise. Therefore, peoples often play god directly or indirectly in the life and affairs of their fellows. The Psalmist have experienced the competition between the praise of peoples and the worship of God, and the consequences of imperfect praise among the people who attempt to ascend the holy hill of God. In spite of their inadequacies, Moses and Samuel succeeded in their worship at the holy hill, above the peoples in their days, because of their focus on the attributes of God, rather than His conceived activities in their affairs. Consistent worship is possible from a heart that acknowledges the sufficiency of the attr...
