However, everyone needs faith in Jesus to get started, trading the ruinous sin for His righteousness.   “ A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. ” Proverbs 16 : 9 NKJV Every purpose has a clearly defined plan, but not every plan has a clear purpose. Human plans can readily boost of being backed by purpose and focus; but in reality, our plans are subject to myriad factors behind the control of mortal men. Even the greatest of monarchs, like Pharaoh, the wisest of sages, like Solomon, and the mightiest of emperors, like Nebuchadnezzar, have got their plans easily twisted by the irrefutable counsel of God. So, when the scriptures say “ A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps” , it implies that the best of human plans are purposeless outside the divine purpose.
