Night Norms

“ For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I Thessalonians 5 : 7 - 8 , 16 - 18 NKJV Night is symbolic of a loss of consciousness; and agents of darkness often sedate their victims with unconsciousness to carry out their acts of evil and wickedness without restraint. The night norms are simply the adoption of societal lifestyles, professional practices, and social relationships that are antithetical to divine inspiration. And the rule of the thumb is for believers to dissociate themselves from any association or engagement where prayer and consistent fellowship with God are discourag...

Peace Platform

“ But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ ” I Thessalonians 5 : 8 - 9 NKJV Just as light of the day is meant to uncover darkness of the night, peace is made for wrath. Like for prophet Jeremiah in the Old Testament and apostle Paul in the New Testament, every obedient servant of the Lord has had his own share of the unpleasant bread of affliction, oppression and persecution, while serving on the peace platform. Therefore, t...

Good Getters

“Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.” ‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭5:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ In the midst of myriads of evil, wickedness, and unrighteousness, sometimes it is difficult for anyone to still recognize the taste of good. Unfortunately, whenever hope for good experiences at home and good governance in the society are lost, everyone loses the motivation to act right. Whereas, there is still hope for every situation in personal life, and every state of the nation’s life, for those who are not weary of approaching the throne of grace. When we crave for grace, we receive the appetite to keep searching for good…no matter how long the search. “ Test all things; hold fast what is good” . The test run can be sometimes discouraging, depressing, and destructive; but the pursuit of God in every search for good provides a unique refreshing taste for all good getters. Therefore, good getters are God garners; for while it appears all goods have gone to the drain, the ...
