God’s Gift
“ While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 10 : 44 - 45 KJV While socialization among human beings is driven by gifts, gift is equally the dominant factor in our relationship with God. And the power of gifts from human beings is so dreaded that the scriptures warn man to be wary of gifts. Gifts, without a sincere attachment of the Holy Spirit, draw the hearts of men away from the purpose and plan of the living God. Cornelius’ world, before his encounter with Simon Peter, was controlled by these bubbles of human gifts.
