Love Light

“ Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness .” Luke 11 : 35 KJV The adage that say “ The more you look, the less you see ” acknowledges the human ‘look light ’ endowment. Advances in human skill, education, and  experience create more avenues for criticism and confrontation. Sometimes, the ‘look light ’ in us makes believers or members of the same family, fellowship, and foundation to constitute the network of bitterness and betrayal in our households, societies and workplaces. When we are satisfied with the “ Take heed therefore ….” unto your personal needs, we are often blinded from the call to “ Take heed therefore… ” unto other people’s needs. For example, when parents correct and discipline a child for a satisfaction of their status and competence rather than love, the child is usually lost to the world’s system of indiscipline, indifference and iniquities. Whereas, love light is the little light that Christ admonished all His disciples to le...

Lighted Lamp

“ No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.” Luke 11 : 33 NKJV One of the highlights of the last few days’ event in the beautiful Palm Springs Desert was a dinner night by a colourful Oasis Pool. Our table was rounded by different sets of lamp-stand designed to give both light and heat for the warmth and radiant comfort of guests. Unfortunately, one of the lamp-stands beside my seat found it hard to retain its light, in spite of the server or lighter’s occasional struggle to light the lamp that kept going off to the frustration of everyone. It just shows what great efforts can be invested to painstakingly stamp out darkness out of any system. Therefore, when Jesus used the illustration “ No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket “, it literally means no one who succeeds to lit a lamp will intentionally cover up its radiance and illumination against...

Stage Spotlighting

““ No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” ”Luke‬ ‭11:33-36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Stage management is an art of spotlighting that requires the mixture of light and darkness. All objects and activities that are not spotlighted are necessarily shedded from the glare of the audience through the power of darkness. Unfortunately, human lifestyle and socialization have also employed the art of stage management with the power of greed, bitterness, and dishonesty. For sinners and the unregenerate souls, these attribute...
