Spirit Sprinting

“ Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Cæsarea.” Acts 8 : 29 , 39 - 40 KJV Evangelism and soul-winning according to Phillip represents a unique lifestyle of spirit sprinting. Yet, it is the expected normal lifestyle of children of God: “ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8 : 14 )”. Unfortunately, we live in a digital world of high-speed 5G internet connectivity with huge data sharing and artificial intelligence; and then think worthless about the capabilities of the lifestyle of spirit sprinting. Little wonder that why we now live, dine, and wine with our world without ever going near them with the gospel message. Whereas, with the spirit sprin...

Scattered Scents

“ Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And there was great joy in that city.” Acts 8 : 4 - 5 , 8 NKJV With scattered experiences in families, workplaces, and societies, it is normal for the people to wear the scourge on their sleeves. Someone rightly said our scattered life’s experiences merely revealed the stuff we are truly made of, whether it is kindness and mercy or wickedness and malice. Most often than not, scattered scents are crushed and crunched by the challenges of life for easier production and transportation of the aroma and the flavour of mercy, love and kindness to the world around them. Since there was great joy in the city of Samaria after Philip’s visit, we know...

Victor’s Vision

“ Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.” Acts 8 : 5 - 6 NKJV Called as deacon to serve tables against disunity among brethren, Philip had a singular interpretation of Victor's vision in life. Discipline may differ, and denominations may dabble, but disciples of Christ have a solemn mandate of making Him known. One would have thought that the Samaritan woman in the earlier earthly ministry of Christ has completed the mandate and the preaching of the gospel of salvation to the Samaritans. Unfortunately, cities and nations constantly change their values according to the driving visions of its citizens. Starting from the family vision and values, when people nowadays place the utmost attention on the physical prosperity, material riches, and career progression, it becomes easier and normal for anyone to make merchandise of their ...
