Lord’s Light

“ Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob, Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into a fountain of waters.” Psalms 114 : 7 - 8 NKJV While found recently a little bit disturbed by the raging waves of wickedness and evil, the Lord’s response was astonishingly distilled “ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5 : 16 )”. Understandably, all of God’s commandments and instructions in life are not actually  burdensome; rather they are revelations of God’s blessings and the embodiment of His grace. Therefore, “ Let your light so shine before men“ was understood as a call to underscore the power of the Lord’s light to quench the darts of darkness and wickedness. Unfortunately, when believers tremble before the strongholds of wickedness and unrighteousness, we merely ignore the prevailing power of the presence of the Lord within. Whereas, the weapo...

Triumphant Tremble

“ Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob, Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into a fountain of waters .” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭114‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The shakers of this world have got guts; and wise people do tremble at their appearance and appointment. The likes of these shakers can throw their offending subjects into the burning fiery furnace; and they can banish the erring folks into the den of lions or the garrison of prisoners. When Joseph responded “ How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? ” to the almighty Queen in Potiphar’s house, that turned a triumphant tremble at the end; though not a sensible tremble at the beginning. A triumphant tremble practices the presence of the Lord always; and would readily damn all consequences of the resolve to obey His commandments. It is a simple mark of t...

Privileged Presence

http://bible.us/psa114.7.nkjv Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob. The presence of someone in position of authority often command fear and trembling, especially for possible retribution of disloyal services. The presence of the Creator of heaven and earth expect to invoke greater fear and trembling. For the children of Israel, even the physical elements of the world (like the sea, star, mountain, etc) roar and quake at the apprehension of the presence of the Lord within the camp of the people of God. Unfortunately, due to willful disobedience, God's people prefer to ignore th‎e presence of God, and rather tremble at the threatening of the elements of the world. However, the Psalmist calls for the saints of the Lord to dare to cultivate the practice of the presence of God. Thereby, there'll be boldness to command the trembling of the elements of abuse and the exhibition of pride in the affairs of God's people. The privilege of...
