Mandate Mission

“ And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. ” Mark 16 : 15 - 16 , 20 KJV Without the intervention of the resurrected Christ, the disciples would have succeeded in a mistaken perception of the gospel for a protection from intimidation and fear of persecution. Instead of ‘Go ye into all the world ’, the disciples had gone into hiding or ‘Run away from the world’ for grief, shame, and remediation. ‘Running away from the world’ is a natural and convenient response to broken relationships, social insecurity, and general disappointments in the family, workplaces and the marketplaces. When friends and associates are targeted or treated with fear and suspicion in line with the slogan ‘once bitten, twice shy’ , the door o...

Penetrating Preachers

” And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. “ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Believers have often heard that the end of the world strongly depends on the preaching of the gospel. “ Go into all the world ” and “ preach the gospel to every creature ” are the two mutually dependent and inseparable commands from the Lord to all believers. Unfortunately, hypocritical believers have often learned how to interpret these commands in isolation. Whereas, all the world includes the entire scope of human residence, recreation, reverence, and reactivity; and the preaching of the gospel must be the central and inevitable parts of believer’s activities with everyone within the wholesome space. For example, apart from the preaching of the gospel message during our indoor and outdoor evangelistic outreaches, believers inherently preach the gospel through their lifestyles of holiness, righteousness, truth, honesty, love, compassion, humility and obedience to t...

Great Gospel

“ And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen .” Mark‬ ‭16:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If the events at the crucifixion weekend could be time-shifted to these days, the trending newsflash from Friday to the end of Saturday would vary, e.g., #TempleCurtailSplitting, #HorribleDarknessInTheSky, #JesusBledToDeath, etc. No one would have carried the miraculous redemption of one of the two thieves who was crucified along with Jesus, like #NarrowEscapeToParadise. Even the disciples that heard the news of Christ’s resurrection on Sunday didn’t believe until they had a personal encounter with the risen Lord. Thereafter, they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Likewise, the only difference between those who are consumed with the gospel of salvation from sin slavery is a personal encounter with the Lord. It is not enough to have an encounte...

Cheering Companionship

“And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭ 16:20 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/mrk.16.20.nkjv Letting go of the physical presence of Jesus was hard for the disciples. And all isolated testimonies about the resurrection and appearance of Jesus were not helpful, until He showed up with the gospel mandate and commission. “And they went out and preached everywhere...”. The cheering news here is the spiritual company of Jesus with everyone who went everywhere with the gospel message. It is the manifestation of His power and presence with accompanying signs, like for healing, protection from dangers, supernatural provision, destruction of all the works of the enemies, etc. Unfortunately, many often fear the risk of going out and preaching everywhere (online and offline workspaces, social gatherings, private circles, etc), like the loss of supposedly good company and productive par...
