Finding Favour

“ Blessed is the man that heareth me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, And shall obtain favour of the LORD .” Proverbs 8 : 34 - 35 KJV God is not just the supplier of fair favour, He is favour personified. While the different expressions of favour embrace all of life’s desires, including wife, breakthroughs (finance, profession, career, business, etc), and good health, it is always foolhardy for anyone to trade the exact favour for the expression of it. Unfortunately, the heart of man is usually confined to the path of foolishness, unless he is rescued. He would rather prefer the chase of the idols in money, wealth, position, and privileges, instead of pursuing God. Little wonder God admonished Joshua the son of Nun on the principle of success to keep a daily tab on the book of the law, and meditate on its pages every morning and night towards finding favour. This is literally the implication of “ Blessed is the ma...

Finding Favour

“ For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.” ” Proverbs 8 : 35 - 36 NKJV When the scriptures say elsewhere “ He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18 : 22 )” in the light of today’s scriptural digest, it implies finding favour is actually finding God. Whereas, finding favour is strictly about finding fellowship opportunities with God, acknowledging the actions of God, valuing the visions revealed by God, observing obedience through God’s instructions, understanding the entire umpire of God and the revelation of God’s righteousness. Actually, finding favour is designed by God to assist humanity in finding faith through the circumstances and the challenge...

Daily Dairy

“Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭34‬-‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If the children of the preacher in the days of king Solomon can struggle with their father’s instructions, it is not far fetched why the distraction from the divine guidance through Christian parents in our days of social media is alarming. These days, children listen more to secular social influencers online more than spiritual influencers at homes and in the churches, even if they can be forced to attend. Notwithstanding, the scriptural path to divine blessings remains the same: “ Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors ”. The digest of the word of God during believers’ daily devotion is the daily dairy; and it is the only path to fruitfulness, fullness, and favour in life. While other gates play games with the hearts of m...
