Righteous Reward

  “ They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause. In return for my love they are my accusers, But I give myself to prayer. Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love .” Psalms 109 : 3 - 5 NKJV The religious rewards for injustice, wickedness, and all forms of unrighteousness from the enemies sometimes include the outbursts of vengeance in prayer. When the psalmist says ‘But I give myself to prayer ’, little would anyone know that God was expected to be engaged as the propaganda of wickedness and vengeance. Notwithstanding, the best response to the advances of conflicts and confrontation in life is the engagement of God in prayer. Fortunately, one of the many rewards of a sincere prayer lifestyle is the conversion of all, including ignorant seekers. Redeemer’s Reward

  “ Let this be the Lord’s reward to my accusers, And to those who speak evil against my person .” Psalms‬ ‭109‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Without a conflict of interest in every believer’s relationship with the Lord, there will also be no conflict of interest in all his horizontal relationships. For example, the psalmist’s mindset of reward here is no doubt in conflict with the interest of the Lord. And whenever both the righteous and the wicked are not free from the complexity of a conflict of interest, there would be no justification or award for righteousness between the parties. Whereas, the redeemer’s reward in all relationships is repentance and righteousness for all parties. If the righteous can be consistent in his belief that “ Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; With the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself ” (Psalms‬ ‭76‬:‭10‬), he will always join the Redeemer in the business of reconciliation for all men.
