Perfect Preservation

“ Thou wilt prolong the king's life: And his years as many generations. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.” Psalm 61 : 6 - 7 KJV There is definitely no doubt that the unfortunate prolonged patronage of all agents of darkness is influenced by believers’ manipulation via M3DG (mightiness, deception, destruction, dishonesty, and greed). Whereas, M3DG’s offer of preservation is simply fraud. For example, after king David’s fall into adultery with Bathsheba, David employed the full arsenal of his M3DG tool; but he wasn’t preserved until his return to the King of kings and the Lord of lords for perfect preservation. Likewise, anyone who comes to God for preservation do not need the wielding of M3DG because of the profound fullness of the freshness of freedom in the presence of the Rock that is higher than the highest, mightier than the mightiest, bigger than the biggest, wiser than the wisest, and greater than the greatest. Those w...

Real Rock

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalms‬ ‭61‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Speaking of attention during praying sessions, believers’ attentions are easily distracted by the numerous challenges and mountains of difficulty than focused on God. Most times, we prefer to complain while caressing these challenges rather than engage in the spiritual battle. Unfortunately, the devil knows how best to take advantage of believers’ ignorance and romance with the fake rocks in their lives. But after being driven to the end of the earth by the challenges of life, the psalmist suddenly realized the ignorance of running away from the real Rock that is higher than his fake rocks - Jesus Christ. “ When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I”. Whenever believers truly turn to this Rock in earnest prayers, the pains and pangs from all the fake rocks are lif...

Gracious Gratitude

“So I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may daily perform my vows.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭61:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The myriad of problems and the challenges of life produce nothing more than heavy hearts. But beyond the possibility of the miracle of deliverance from the presence of the Lord, the entrance into the tabernacle of grace with the song of praise does produce lifted hearts. Like the psalmist, those whose hearts are routinely overwhelmed with the challenges of life know the priority of living for the worship of the King of kings. How pleasant would it be for anyone, who is suffering from depression, anxiety, and sleeplessness over the challenges in his career, family, work and social life, to cultivate a lifestyle of listening and/or singing a long list of downloaded music on praise and worship? If the initiative was helpful for the psalmist to stay focused on the positive side of life, it just shows the potency of the power of grace in an heart of gratitude. Grace for the race of...

Praise Pleasure

“So I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may daily perform my vows.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭61:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/psa.61.8.nkjv For a heart that is consistently overwhelmed with an heavy load of care, taking pleasure in approaching the presence of God is under-stably motivated by prayer petitions. And commitment to a daily performance from a heart of praise is certainly impossible in a world that cannot be totally free from troubles, without a sincere pleasure in praise. Therefore, the Psalmist made a commitment to praise the name of God forever, thereby overcoming the distractive challenges from the odds in life. Unfortunately, performance-based praises are common in the assembly of God’s people and the commonwealth of Saints. And praises become dull and dead in seasons with little or no performances. Whereas, the pleasure of believers in the praises of the King of Kings should never reverberate from casual performances.

Extreme Experiences

http://bible.us/psa61.2.nkjv From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Normal experiences of difficulties and challenges in relationships and life issues leave room for the possibility of finding solution. Beyond human efforts to finding solution to these experiences, people of f‎aith are open to divine intervention. In most cases, the dignity of anyone who is faced with challenges, within the reach of any source of encouragement, is restored. But when subjected to extreme experiences, the damage to dignity suddenly appears overwhelming; and all hope for restoration disappears. Unlike most people under extreme experiences, the Psalmist reveals the secret of a blissful restoration of trust in the tabernacle of the Lord: cry unto the Lord . Confidence and trust in God, as a dependable refuge for those under extreme family, health, and career challenges, will remain vague until the heart can pulse to cry unto th...
