Gracious Grounding

 “that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19 KJV

The basic principle of earthing or grounding buildings with their foundations is readily instructive. By grounding with copper wires or thunder arrestor, these buildings or valuable installations within the building envelope are spared the havoc of electrical shocks, damages, and destruction due to thunder strikes. Life experiences, exposures, and expectations can sometimes act like thunder strikes; and only those who are securely grounded in the love of Christ can stand straight and strong in moments of emotional shocks, damages, and possible destruction. Therefore, when Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians believers “that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith“, he was inspired by personal experience of the benefits in gracious grounding. Without every believer’s grounding in the love of Christ, the heart of man can easily get hijacked by emotions filled with his mismanagement of flaws in his earthly relationships. Whereas, only those who are filled with the fullness of God are free from flaws through the fullness of man; this is simply the benefit of our gracious grounding in the love of Christ.

Righteous Resolution

  “ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night.
