Wise Walk

 

“But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.” 1 Corinthians 7:17, 22-24 KJV


It is important to underscore that the fundamental benefit of every believer’s response to the Lord’s call is the satisfaction of the heart with rest. True rest vacates every tendency to respond to extra-scriptural commandments and worldly ordinances. Therefore, wise walk produces the fear of the Lord, while abiding or resting only on His commandments. Definitely, the world will always have its say of commanding allegiance, affection, and affliction; but God will make the way of those whose hearts are fixed on the purposes of God. Unfortunately, it is impossible for anyone to abide with God and accommodate the diversionary opinions of men on different issues and assignments at the same time. Those who must wobble with the world’s arsenal of compromising conducts and conflicting conspiracies are always distracted from the commandments of the Lord; and it makes more sense for them to be considered as being aliens to the path of wise walk.

Omni- Obedience

  “ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled .” II Corinthians 10 : 4 - 6 NKJV There is no better reference to the scriptural punishment of all disobedience when our obedience is fulfilled than omni- obedience.
