Winsome Word

 “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: And in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.” Psalm 19:7, 11-12 KJV

The BIBLE (Blessed Instruction Bringing Life Eternal) is ever precious to those who have found a perfect guide to everlasting life in its instructions. Obviously, the foundation of the blessed instruction is riveted in the conversion of souls from sin, stubbornness and stiff-neckedness. Otherwise, people are always prone to remain defensive of their ideology and self-will, even when the evidence of judgment and destruction for disobedience is stirring them in their faces. For example, who would have expected Pharaoh to perish in the Red Sea amidst the myriads of warnings, repeated instructions with punishments for disobedience, and intermittent judgments? The deceitfulness of temporal riches, affluence, and position of authority often blind the heart of man from the delightfulness of the BIBLE, even when familiarity with the instructions therefrom are sufficiently loud. Whereas, the blessed instruction in the BIBLE remains the only perfect guide to every believer’s salvation from sin and satanic manipulations, safety from setups and strategic confrontations, and success in the battles of life.

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
