Confidence Casting

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:Hebrews 10:35-36 NKJV

Political interest, professional ambition and institutional affiliation are usually functions of confidence casting. Unfortunately, most people would readily throw away their trust in God, the pursuit of righteousness and defence of the truth to service their confidence casting in the will of fellow men, principalities, and godfathers. Why? Truth be told, confidence casting in God always comes with unpleasant endurance and perseverance of pain and oppression. Therefore, when the inspired writer to the Hebrews says “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward“, he knows that the major challenge to confidence casting in God is the enduring grace to wait for the promised great reward. And apart from doubting God, the dilemma of confidence casting includes the assurance that we are at the centre of the will of God. Obviously, the foundation of every confidence cast in God is the believer’s assurance of knowing the will of God and the courage toward doing the same will, irrespective of the consequences.
