Manifold Mercies
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” II Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV
In seasons of messes, the heart is tempted to seek help where there is no help. Whereas, merchants and messengers of manipulated mercies are readily skillful in the art of deceiving the unwary minds with miserable comforts and peanuts. Unfortunately, believers who patronize these merchants are ignorant of the scope of the manifold mercies of God, even in their seasons of messes. The mercies of God embody grace and comfort for perseverance and the soothing presence of God in believer’s moments of trials. Even when our season of trouble appears to tarry, the manifold mercies of God often extend across territories and ministries beyond the scope of our imagination. For example, the manifold mercies of God in the life of Apostle Paul, even under the subject of trials and tribulations, are the source of blessings, comfort, and consolation to many believers in his days and today. We all need grace to hang unto the Father of mercies in our moment of messes to clearly unravel the scope of the manifold mercies of God.
