Humble Heritage

“I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; Yes, I will praise Him among the multitude. For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, To save him from those who condemn him.” Psalms 109:30-31 NKJV

Everyone knows that the reference to ‘the right hand of the poor’ here doesn’t suggest reservation by position, but rather by purity. Otherwise, the enemies will be free to occupy ‘the left hand of the poor!’. The inheritance of the righteous is borne out of his attachment to Christ. Every redeemed child of God has been translated into the right hand of Christ’s wholesome purity. Therefore, this holy hand of the poor is the holy hand of the Lord God. And since Christ fully paid the price of the poor’s total redemption, there can never be any condemnation for those who have been redeemed by Him. Unfortunately, those among the redeemed who still exercised fear of invasion from the enemies are ignorant of all inheritances at the holy hand of the Lord. Little wonder the perpetuity of the holy hand is captured elsewhere as “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17)”. Invariably, those who truly trust God understand that their holy hands are not just like the holy hand of the Lord; they have totally accepted the holy hand of the Lord as their humble heritage.
