Christian Correction

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

One of the fundamental purposes of the release of God’s words is correction. Christians study the word of God daily for access to its cleansing power. And for those who do release their hearts to the revelation of the words of God, they are empowered by God to get aligned according to divine purpose from deception and destruction. The havoc of sin and transgressions against the commandment of the Lord is the hardening and separation of the hearts of men from the revelation of God’s words; but by the inspiration of God through His words, the bondage is broken and hearts are released to response again to divine instructions. Unfortunately, proud hearts do not understand nor appreciate the potency in “All scripture is given by inspiration of God“. Whereas, that the wholesome words of God is the embodiment of God’s power and presence in the hearts of those who pay attention to its revelation is the essence of the holy scripture as a tool for Christian correction.

Sweet Savour

“ Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: to the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2 : 14 - 17 KJV Every contribution in life and ministry commands commendation. Ordinarily, no one set out to labour for condemnation. Therefore, it is normal for everyone to struggle to project his own savour through the understanding of people for appreciation and commendation. And it is understandable why frustration often fills the air when our labour becomes unappreciated. For Apostle Paul, in relation to his labour of love over the church at Corinth, the source of the ...

Holy Hope

“ And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister ” Colossians 1 : 21 - 23 KJV When Apostle Paul alluded to the tragedy of miserable hope of some Christians elsewhere, believers are not left in doubt of the heavenly demand for holiness and righteousness from those who claim a reasonable relationship with God. Even today, unholy hopes pride themselves in the practice of Christianity with carelessness and compromises. Whereas, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ in the body of his flesh through death is never in vain, and cannot be worthwhile with the slightest accommodation of wickedness, immorality, a...

Righteous Resolution

“ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1 : 1 - 2 , 6 KJV The problem with the concept of New Year resolutions is that the resolutions are results focussed, including new walkout goals, new diet habits, new relationship models for family, social, and workplace partners, etc. We know that these results resolutions are hard to keep and maintain with the best of human strategies. When Thomas Edition acclaimed ‘Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration ’, he probably believed in the divine order of the 1% inspiration in the 100% success principle. Remove the 1 ahead of the 100 and you’ll get zero, NOT 99! Little wonder the psalmist clearly adopted a righteous resolution strategy, instead of ...
