Wondrous Works

“Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.” Isaiah‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Wise works are composed of the use of the products of Human Resources; and with advances in science and technology, wicked works will readiness pass as wise works. For example, just as the use of human brains produce robots and drones for emergency service delivery and protection services, the same robots and drones can be used as weapon of mass destruction. Invariably, a rise in wise works in our competitive world springs off as wicked works in family relationships, social engagements, workplace interactions, and city governance. When we see ourselves alone (or get intoxicated) in the midst of wise engagements and opportunities, it becomes hard for us to see the fingers of God. Whereas, it is absolutely impossible for anyone who pays attention to the moves of God in the midst of all circumstances of life to miss the wondrous works. These are works and social engagements built on the use of the (1) wisdom of God, rather than the wiles of man; (2) obedience to the counsels of God, and not obstinacy against divine revelation; (3) new nature, not new normal; (4) diligence and determination, rather than division and deception; (5) righteousness, and not rottenness; (6) openness, not odiousness; (7) understanding of the mind of God, rather than undermining through the methods of men; and (8) sincerity with the spirit of God, rather than solidarity with social norms. Anyone who must live for the wondrous works must regard the work of the LORD, and consider the operation of his hands in his daily engagements.
