Ambassador’s Anthem

 “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 KJV

Just as redemption is the gift of God to man, reconciliation is the gift of man to God. Otherwise, there would not be any need for Apostle Paul’s prayer to the Corinthian church: “we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God”. The gift of redemption through salvation does readily teach the hearts of men to live soberly, righteously, and godly with the finished work of grace; but the hearts of men must be willing to show off this anthem as good ambassadors of Christ. We cannot claim to be Christ’s ambassadors while still exhibiting the attributes of the world, like living in sin and all forms of unrighteousness. If Christ can successfully demonstrate living in this world without sin “that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”, Christ’s ambassadors can do likewise with full reconciliation. Therefore, every believer’s anthem in this world of compromise and sin is the demonstration of the finished work of grace, as the righteousness of God in Christ through His attitude, nature, truth, holiness, example, and meekness.

Righteous Resolution

  “ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1 : 1 - 2 , 6 KJV The problem with the concept of New Year resolutions is that the resolutions are results focussed, including new walkout goals, new diet habits, new relationship models for family, social, and workplace partners, etc. We know that these results resolutions are hard to keep and maintain with the best of human strategies.
