Spirit Sealed

 “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” 2 Corinthians 1:20-22 KJV

Purposes in life backed by the plan of men are something, depending on the composition of the architects. Life’s ambitions, project management, home management, and career development are part of purposes that determine the destiny of any man, family and institution. And those who pride themselves as architects in each of these systems would readily wear their badges with pride and honours. Whereas, in Apostle Paul’s exposition to the church at Corinth, church affairs and his intervention are likened to God’s promises rather than men’s purposes. Obviously, men’s purposes are subject to the concept of  “yea, yea” and “nay, nay”, i.e., success and failures, possible and impossible, yes and no, etc. The reason why men’s words (no matter who and what they are) are held with a pinch of salt is that we are limited like the breadth in our nostrils. However, whenever the righteous is privileged to get exposed to God’s promises in any of his life’s affairs and engagements with people, there is no longer any limitation to the manifestation of divine counsels leading primarily to the glory of God. Are you sealed by God’s spirit for something at home, workplaces, ministry and society? Seek no reprisal on the account of the threats, twists, and turns. Actually, when a man is sealed by God’s spirit to be part of the instruments towards the accomplishment of His promises, let him know that the matter is only yea and Amen, irrespective of the threats, twists, and turns of all detractors.
