Strange Strength

 “Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.” Hosea 7:8-10 KJV

The amazing reflection of Ephraim is the sweet relationship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. But when Ephraim began to develop an appetite for half-baked cakes, he began to make excuses for his frequent flights from the throne of grace to consult with earthly princes and mortal kings. And like Ephraim, believers are called and chosen to be peculiar and reflections of God’s praises. Our strength is anchored on the ability to understand the counsels of God through divine revelation and intimate relationships; and not through social networking, artificial intelligence, and political fraternity. These carnal resources and provisions from the world always come as the use of strange strength with compromises, corruption, and conflagration. Whereas, every believer’s strong strength comes by waiting only upon the Lord, and by depending on His instructions towards the efficient engagement of life’s resources.

Omni- Obedience

  “ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled .” II Corinthians 10 : 4 - 6 NKJV There is no better reference to the scriptural punishment of all disobedience when our obedience is fulfilled than omni- obedience. In Apostle Paul’s correction of the Corinthian believers who wrestle authority with him, he admonished believers to focus on the omnipotence of absolute submission to the authority of Christ through our individual fellowship with God.
